Saguaro Infant Care and Preschool accepts INFANTS (4 wks & older), TODDLERS (1 & 2 yrs), and PRESCHOOL children (3 yrs – Kindergarten age & potty trained).

Mission

The Saguaro Infant Care and Preschool (SICP) is an outreach of Saguaro Christian Church to the families and children of our community. We provide quality childcare for all children, without discrimination, in a loving, healthy environment. We also believe that age appropriate Christian instruction is beneficial for the children we care for.

Philosophy

At SICP, we believe that each child should be provided with:

  • a loving, nurturing environment
  • a safe, stimulating, active curriculum
  • encouragement to develop socially, emotionally, academically, at his/her own pace
  • opportunities to be creative
  • activities to use their imagination
  • skills to learn to follow simple group norms for age appropriate behavior

Curriculum

SICP uses a theme based curriculum with a strand of Christian instruction. This includes praying before meals, learning Bible stories, and participating in Chapel twice a month. Chapel runs approximately 30 minutes and consists of songs, prayers, and stories for 2-5 year olds. In addition, the preschool follows Arizona’s Early Learning Standards for Early Childhood Education.
